There are times when one of the component out signals is a bit
more intense in relation to the other signals. Most of the time, it is the red
component. To correct this problem, you can purchase attenuators. Depending
on the severity of the push, typically a 3db attenuator is all that's needed.
The attenuator is a relatively a small unobtrusive device that is installed inline with
the component output with the push problem. From the source (red in this instance) to the
attenuator, then from the attenuator to the component input of the set. There are more
sophisticated versions that have a potentiometer that allows one to vary the amount of
signal attenuation.
