Bill Paul of Zektor writes that they've developed
a new high bandwidth (250MHz) switching device that accommodates up to four video and
audio inputs.
Its versatile design allows it to be used with RGBHV, component, or
composite. Audio can be either Toslink or Coaxial. All connections are high
grade gold plated terminals.
It is compatible with most universal remote controls. The full featured IR
interface allows power on/off, bright/dim display, direct channel selection, channel
up/down.
It has a neat Auto Dimming Display feature where the LED indicator lights can be set to
bright, dim, or auto mode. Auto mode will fade the LEDs to half power after a channel is
selected.
Its aesthetics were carefully designed to integrate well with existing home theater
equipment. It measures 17"W
x 6.5"D x 1.75"H, comes in Black or Silver housing, and is rack mountable.
The HDS4 retails for $299.
